Hello
I’m Riya, a counselling psychologist.
I know counseling can sometimes feel like getting emotionally naked in front of someone — vulnerable and a little scary. I don’t take that lightly. Every story shared with me is an act of courage, and I hold that trust with the utmost care.
In this space, you’ll never feel judged. Whether your problems feel small, silly, big, messy, or a little weird, they’re all welcome here. This is your safe place to be heard, to be yourself, and to begin untangling whatever’s on your mind.

Confidentiality is sacred to me, and so is valuing you as a whole person — with your own history, voice, and journey. Come as you are. We’ll figure out the rest together.
My Story
I didn’t choose counseling, it chose me through countless moments of listening, holding space, and realizing how deeply I value human connection.

I was born and raised in Delhi, but my journey into counseling began long before I ever sat in a therapy chair. Studying at an international school and later continuing my education in the USA meant I was constantly surrounded by people from diverse cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. Those early experiences taught me how profoundly our stories shape us, and how much we can grow by truly listening to one another.
As the eldest sibling in my family, I naturally found myself in the role of listener, problem-solver, and gentle guide. It was a role I valued and one that quietly prepared me for the work I do today.

Theatre was another unexpected teacher. Stepping into different characters in school allowed me to explore the many layers of human emotions and experiences. It showed me how easily we can slip into different roles in our own lives and it was this curiosity about what drives people, and how they make sense of their worlds, that eventually drew me to psychology.

Today, as a counselor, I combine that curiosity with a deep respect for every person’s unique journey. My goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can bring your whole self and together, we can explore what healing and growth look like for you.
